MALLS OF MEERUT

         

Melange the Mall is situated
on NH-58 in Pallavpuram. 
This is one of the oldest 
Mall in Meerut. It features 
Big Cinemas, McDonald’s, 
Dominos, Narulas and the 
Big Bazaar. Apart from these 
it also features many other 
stores.



        

Magnum Mall is situated near 
Hapur Railway Crossing on 
Delhi Road. This Mall also 
features Big Cinemas.



PVS Mall is in Shastri Nagar.  
Apart from PVS cinemas it 
has a McDonadl’s store and 
the Big Bazaar store. Food 
court with variety of foods is 
also there in PVS Mall.        





Era Mall is in Beripura on 
Delhi Road. Many garments 
store, multiplex and food 
court are there in it.


                                                        

Shopprix Mall is on Delhi Road in Major Dhyanchand Nagar.     It is the latest entry into the list 
of malls in Meerut. This mall too has a McDonald’s store apart from Melange and PVS Mall. Food Court is also there in Shopprix.

MEERUT


































Meerut is a city in the western part of 
massive Uttar Pradesh. It is an ancient 
Meerut City Railway Station 
city with settlements dating back to the 
Indus Valley Civilization. It is the 26th 
most populous city in India. The municipal 
area is 141.89 km2 with the cantonment covering 35.68 km2. It is the largest producers of sports goods, and the 
largest producer of musical instruments in India. It is a part of National Capital Region (NCR) and is surrounded by Muzaffarnagar in north, Ghaziabad in south,Amroha and Moradabad in east and Delhi in south west.


The city may have derived its name from 
Mayarashtra, the capital of the kingdom 
of Mayasura, Mandodari's father and 
Ravana’s father-in-law. This name may 
have mutated to Mairashtra, Mai-dant-ka-
khera, Mairaath and eventually Meerut.

It is famously associated with the Indian 
Rebellion of1857 against the British East 
India Company.


Meerut is also known as 'Ravan Ki 
Sasural' literally meaning "Ravana's wife's home". There is an old Chandi Devi 
temple in the compound of Nauchandi 
ground. It is believed that Ravan's wife Mandodari used to come here to worship Goddess Chandi and since then every year a fate (Nauchandi 
Mela) is held in sacred days of Navratri.

Meerut has a monsoon influenced humid 
subtropical climate characterized by very 
hot summers and very cold winters. It lies 
between the plains of the Ganga and 
those of the YamunaIn area it covers 2,522 km2 with a population of 
3,443,689.


Meerut Cantonment was established by 
the British East India Company in 1803. 
It is the second largest cantonment of 
India both in land area 
(3568.06 hectares) and population (90521 
people) as per census of 2001. The 
Revolt of 1857  started from "Kali Paltan" 
in Meerut Cantonment.

It is the 63rd-fastest-growing urban area 
in the world. It is the 14th fastest developing 
city in India. 


There are numerous places in Meerut which 
one can visit like kali paltan temple 
(Augarnath temple), Gandhi Bagh, Malls of 
Meerut (Melange, Era, PVS, Magnum, and 
Shopprix), Abu Lane (shoppolics lane), 
St. John’s Church, Suraj Kund (sports goods 
hub), Chaat Bazaar and many more places.
